Negative Only rep speed
I′m just about to start another 4-6 weeks of Negative Only training and was thinking about the rep speed.
I had some good results recently using a NO rep speed of 6-8 seconds depending on the ROM of the exercise. But going through some articles of Arthur′s from the 70′s he says to just lower under control in about 4 seconds (I think this would probably allow more weight to be used) and suggested no more than 8 reps .
I have also read that taking too long on the negative can give the muscles a bit of a "rest".
Has anybody compared slower negatives to faster ones? Any comments would be appreciated.
B-WINE you seem pretty cluey with AJ′s methods, any ideas?

I do negatives at the end of my regular set of positives to failure. Several seconds but not sure how long, maybe 4-6 seconds approximately.
Also what I do, is try on the last negative to push back up which I can′t, but that usually ends the set...I′m spent by then! I will usually get three negs at the end of 6-10 positive to failure set.
