I saw an old video on YouTube of Platz squatting 500lbs for twenty-three reps.....outstanding!
Of all the workloads you can do, twenty reps with all the weight you can properly handle is quite a feat.

Looks real though
I saw him recently on a Ric Drasin YouTube video seems like a really decent guy
I remember reading where Arthur Jones mentioned that for bodybuilding a person need not use more than 400 lbs for squatting and in most cases 300 lbs will do. His point is that your skeleton has to be respected especially the spine and feet
Watching Platz drop instead of slow descent on those reps has to be a lot of stress on the joints
