HIT works

I′d just like to say Hi to all, i′m definitley a new HIT convert thanks to Mike and this board.

I′ve been training for a year but I′m new to HIT and HD and its been hard having to put up with so many conflicting recommendations for the past year, then there′s still division among the HIT experts!

So anyway i′ve been training one set to failure and theres one thing for sure: Im extremely sore after every workout and couldn′t possibly train again without 4 or 5 days rest. Im not sure if it works this way, but to me soreness=growth.

And one other thing, the feeling i′ve always got from Mike is that he is not saying HIT is the only way, but that it is Best and Fastest. Alot of people make stupid opinions up without the proper knowledge.

thanks
j-town

Hit is very good.
Are you doing a fullbody routine?

Soreness doesnt always = growth
You could have an intense stretching session and be sore the next day.
I use it more to see where im hitting the muscles on different exercises.
Good luck with your training.

just make sure you go up in weight or reps each workout and feel good

Yeah im doing (abbreviated) full body routine with 3-4 days rest (usually 4).

Squats alt. with Deadlifts 1×12-20
Dumbell Rows 1×6
Flat presses alt. with Dips 1×6
Shoulder Presses 1×6

Not precisely counting rep cadence but its slow prob about 4/4
Definitely gaining strength not alot of weight gain yet.
I plan to go on the Consolidated Routine from High Intensity Weight Training the Mike Mentzer Way when this routine get too much.

I love HIT but i miss getting in the gym 3-4 times a week. What can i say, i′m a gym rat i love it haha.
