Hey guys
I read on another forum about an IFBB Pro – Heinz Seinor who uses HD. He is from Venezuela and went to the USA to train with Mike Mentzer in 1994. And believe me, he is a huge HD/HIT devotee. Mike is his all-time hero.
He says he started using HD1 and then HD2 with a super slow rep cadence of 10/10. He reckons has made even better progress. He does use steroids, but so do all the other Pro bodybuilders so, all things being equal, he is definitely training more efficiently.
This is one of his most productive routines routines:
Day 1: Chest/Shoulders/Triceps 7 days rest Day 2: Back/Biceps/Traps 7 days rest Day 3: Quads/Hamstrings/Calves 7 days rest Day 1 again.
He does 1-2 sets to failure per exercise, with 1-2 exercises per muscle group, brief, infrequent and intense. Off-season he weighs about 275lb at 12-14%. In competiton he is about 240lb at 4-5%. He does change things up though, he will train HD2 for 12 weeks, then he will train using HD1 for 8 weeks.
He also conducts HIT seminars with his most recent one (in Venezuela) attracting 140 people. And he trains the current National light-heavy and lightweight champs in Venezuela with the same principles he uses.
Below are a few of his posts, I know they are a few years old but they are still interesting:
