NIlbertRafer,
In my workout (Squats, Calf Raises, Deadlifts, Bent Over Rows, Weighted Chins, Flat Bench Dumbell Press), I don′t hit the abs at all. With the exercises that I do, specifically deadlifts, weighted chins, and squats, done in combination with 3x week high intensity cardio, my abs receive plenty of stimulation. I haven′t done an abdominal exercise in over 10 years and I don′t plan on it either. As a side note, I just moved up here recently from West Palm Beach Fla. and going to be starting the police academy in July. Even though the police academy, as part of their required physical agility test, does regular bent leg full sit-ups, which I feel do absolutely nothing for the abs, nothing beats heavy deadlifts, squats, and weighted chins.
Seeing that I′m the first person to start the thread, you may want to see how others might respond to your question and perhaps they may be able to add some of their own experiences/ab workouts. Hope this bit of info helps. Good luck.

Although I′m lazy when it comes to stomach work, I′m always stronger in the torso when I do some kind of direct work. I know my stomach muscles are starting to get weaker and decondition when I start getting sore from other exercises and/or a few sets of weighted sit ups.
If you want to include some direct stomach work in a way Mentzer would approve of, do a set of weighted sit-ups to failure after one of your sessions. This is what I used to do when training HD.
Jeff
