Stomach pertuding |
|
|
|
Hi,
When i stand totally relaxed my stomach kinda sticks out. Now i have abs and my stomach is rock hard but it sticks out…. so i have to tense it every time i see a hot chick on the street so i dont look like a fat turd…. which im not.
Does anyone else get this and why is it under the muslce fat or is it from not perfoming any direct ab work in the athletes routine.
Cheers very much
Lee

I do not exactly understand what you are trying to say. Does you abdomen stick out farther than your pecs do? What do you mean by muslce fat?(Typo I figure.)

Lee,
It could be due to the anatomy of your rib cage, specifically the floating ribs. If there′s a ribcage inversion(last 1/4 or so), this could be causing the type of anomaly you mention.

Lee I totally understand what your saying and many people including pro bodybuilders have the same problem. It has nothing to do with not training the abs directly as the abs get plenty of stimulation from squats and deadlifts.
What it is though is your gut is stretched underneath the abdominals, so even if you have no fat in that region your abdominals will stick out in the same of a pot belly when standing relaxed. I have heard people say its because your gut is stretched from filling the intestines with too much food and liquid. But I personally think that most bodybuilders even in lean condition would have their abs stick out if they totally relaxed them.
I remeber watching a recent Mr Olympia contest and there was one camera shot of all the top pro′s hitting a rear double biceps, thing is the camera shot was at the back of the stage towards the audience, so it caught the front of then when doing this pose. All there attention was on flexing there back and arm muscles and there guts all protruded out like a beer belly, even with ripped abdominals.
I wouldnt worry about it, as I think most people have it. You could try eating 5 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
