Mike Mentzer: "I′ve observed this pattern of response in many of my personal training clients: they will gain regularly in strength for months with little or no increase in size… and then within a short period of time, they′ll find themselves several pounds heavier."
Principle: for the majority, STRENGTH INCREASES PRECEDE SIZE INCREASES.
Any comments on the above based on your own bodybuilding experiences?

You and I agree there. If your program doesn′t allow you to gain about 1lb of muscle a week during a bulk, then you need a new program.
