Workout Progress

I completed my next workout after about 12 days off (instead of my usual 7).

1) Machine Press – 380×5 now 380×7
2) Machine Curls – 200×6 now 220×4
3) Machine Rows – 320×9 now 360×9

I dropped out Machine Pullovers now, because I think I′m starting to slow down with my biggest gains.

Hey Analyzer, I guessed wrong on the curls! ๐Ÿ™‚ I tried to do too much weight and ended up dropping into the 4 rep range! Oh well, I′ll get back up into the right rep range in the next couple of workouts.

Hey Darrell,

So how′s a "normal" rep feel? Better then the static or worse?

Ha! Well, you′ll get in sync, you have to get that psychic thing going with regular reps now LOL

hey guys, darrell I see what u were explaining to me about going below your reps of six. What did u mean about dropping pullovers because of "slowing down with my biggest gains"? Was it because it was too many back exercises? Also, I didn′t know that you went to statics, I knew massman did. I was trying to ask someone if it could be possible to use them as a last rep of a set? Thanx!

Hi Darrell,

That′s some good weight your throwing around, but you may be taken a little bit away from your back training if you use the exercises in the order listed.
The curls before the rows is not a very good idea. they are the weak link in the rowing exercise and you are just making them weaker still by training them first. Your rows will stop when the first muscle has been fatigued which will defiantly be your bicep, you want your biceps to be as strong as possible in the row, so I would suggest doing the curls after the rows to allow your back a better workout. I would probably drop the curls altogether with the weight you are rowing, I′m sure your biceps will be getting enough stimulation from the rows alone!

Just my thoughts………HIT
